The Tracker wants you to paddle out at Rincon, J Bay or Hanalei, take off deep and go hard off the bottom projecting all your speed down the line and carve a big powerful turn to set it all up again. If down the line high speed fun is what you are after check out The Tracker.

In 1992, there were not a lot of big guy shortboards available. If you take the Assassin, pull in the tail 1 inch and blow it out to 7'6", it becomes the Nomad. It has a shortboard high performance rocker. It rides fast and loose, catches waves like a longboard and turns like a shortboard. The Nomad puts the fun back in surfing. Larger planning surface & thinner foiling create a more responsive & versatile board. The shortboard alternative for the longboard rider.

Paul came in 3rd in the big wave event and first in the small wave event. The board shown in the above photo was the small wave board, and the inspiration behind the PS '65, a collaborative effort between Paul Strauch and Roger Hinds. The original Downing classic shape has been kept in tact as a classic small wave long board and modernized in the bottom rocker, nose, tail and rails allowing for effortless turns and maximum tip time.
All boards are hand signed and numbered by Paul Strauch and come with a custom "HAWAII" team logo on the deck.
